Fun Days! Part 2
Sunday was really cloudy and drizzley and perfect for hanging out inside unless you are 6 yrs. old and 16 months old. By about mid morning Jake and Ella were really ready to get outside. Sage and Jer put Ella in the wagon and Jake on his scooter and off they went to Jake's school playground. They had a blast running around and burning tons of kid energy. Ella was ready for lunch and a nap when they returned, and Sage and I headed out for groceries. When we got back Jer and Jake went for Jake's favorite Subway sandwich and Ella woke up just in time to share. We spent the afternoon playing and hanging out. Sage bathed the kids while I got dinner ready and the plan was for Sage and Jer to head home about 5 or 5:30 PM. Just about the time they planned to head out Ella decided she wanted to be held by Auntie and no other!! Sage and Jer stayed until Ella hit the sack as Ella just would not let Sage out of her sight! Thank you Sage and Jer for staying. After Ella went to bed they were able to head home and Jake and I cuddled up the ice cream and discussed our favorite Webkinz, love, love my little chat time with Jake. It was lights out pretty early on Sunday night--Monday morning was heading my way pretty fast! I haven't had to get kids to school in a long time! What an adventure Monday morning was but we did it. I just had so darn much fun and I can't wait to do it again! I love my grandkiddies!

4 days of fun! Part One
I just spent the last four days with Jake and Ella and had so much fun just being with them! Amber and Ben were in Las Vegas from friday to monday so I stayed with the kiddies. On friday Ella and I walked to Jakes school and met him and then walked home. Jake rides his Razor, its is the cutest thing to watch him whiz down the street on his scooter. Friday night Sage and Jer came up to stay with us, it's always fun for Jake and Ella when Auntie and Uncle Jer arrive. On saturday we were up with the chickens to get Jake to the ball field for his 8:00 AM game. It was a family outing at the ballpark, really cold and foggy! His team won 17-10 and Jake got 2 hits, the kids can hit really well but the fielding is another story--but so cute to watch! After the game we went to breakfast at the coolest little cafe in Glendora (its a family favorite) then home for Ella to nap. After napping Ella woke up on the WRONG side of the bed so after a blueberry snack, snuggles and love we took off another family outing--Tai Pan and Victoria Gardens here we come. We had planned to have dinner at Lucille's but the kiddies were not up for a nearly two hour wait. One thing great in Rancho Cucamonga there are a ton of restraunts! Applebee's (a family place) was our next choice, hungry kiddies was the deciding factor. On the drive home we decided to get a movie (Beverly Hills Cha Wa Wa). Sage was driving and we sort of know where things are in Glendora but not everything! So who do we rely on? That's right 6 year old Jake! Seriously we probably would not have made it through the week end with out his guidance. The kid is awesome, not only can he point us in the right direction he can pretty much run all the electronic equipment in the house. There would have been no TV without him and he knows just about everything there is to keeping Ella happy and content--he is the best big brother.

Crank-Pot with a Cold!!
Okay, I'm at work and feeling sooo much better than I did all week-end. I seldom get a cold but when I do, I'm a real crank-pot about it. I am so looking forward to the upcoming week-end, I'm going to Amber's to stay with Jake and Ella for the week-end. Amber and Ben are going to Las Vegas for a Run that Ben is in. (Go Ben) Jake has a ball game on saturday and Sage and Jer are coming up so we are also planning some sort of a fun outing with the kiddies, I can't wait! Oh and by the way how happy are we about the time change? Yahoo with double back flips I love the Spring!

In Loving Memory

I've been wanting to post this for a while, but my emotions have been just to close to the edge. While we were on vacation Dana's Mom passed away. On friday we put her in her final resting place with Dana's Dad, at Fort Roscrans. I could not have had a better Mother-in-law. I've known her since I was 16 years old and we really had the most special relationship. Ruth was always so good to me and the best Nonnie to my girls. I love her and will always miss her. The picture was taken of Dana's parents in about 1944, it is one of my favorites. They were such a beautiful couple. Rest in Peace. Maui Part II
Our trip to Maui was so great. Dana had fun getting lots of autographs of the golfers-Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas, Ernie Els, Daniel Chopra, Geoff Ogilvy(the winner) and K.J. Choi to name a few. Amazingly he also scored autographs from Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and chatted it up poolside with Michael Bolton. And yes, we saw Kate Hudson with Adam Scott that made the news and tabloids. The Paparazzi must hide everywhere or someone had a good phone camera. We decided to be polite not take photos of them and let them enjoy their vacation in privacy. Sage and I sat at the pool right beside Kate Hudson and her son Ryder, she was with Geoff Ogilvy's wife. Michael Bolton sat behind us at the pool a couple of times, he is very nice. It is fun to see the celebs at Kapalua because they are usually pretty relaxed and the people just let them enjoy their vacation. FYI my observation is this--they don't eat much-or when they eat its room service, they must wear SPF 50 because they never looked tan even after being there for a week, they really dress down--very little bling, bling.

Maui
Aloha from Maui! Oh my gosh it seems strange to be on vacation in January, but oh so nice to be in Maui! The weather is warm, sunny with a few rain showers. The Mercedes-Benz golf tournament is going on at the Plantation course, so we have seen lots of Golfers, and a few Celebs. Michael Bolton sits right near us at the pool. We have also seen Josh Kelley, Oliver Hudson, Kevin Dillion to name a few but there are others, Luke Wilson is here but we haven't seen him. I'll post some pictures soon.

Our December
We had a really wonderful holiday season this year. We started off on December 1st at the home of our dear friends Mike and Marilyn. It was a Christmas dinner and a musical performance along with some really fun Christmas caroling. It was a wonderful way to start the Holiday Season. On the 13th of December we had our Ward Chritmas party and Dana was Santa, he really was so great. Sage and I did lots of our Christmas shopping on December 18th in Fashion Valley (love that shopping center). Andee was with us also and we had the greatest lunch at the new Bing Crosby, such a fun day! On the 20th we went to Jeff and Carole's for the lovliest Christmas Party, always great to see our friends and Carole always has the most amazing buffet. Chritmas Eve was at Sage's along with Jer's parents and grandparents--dinner was great and it is always such festive evening at Sagey's. Christmas Day was at Amber's with our adorable grandchildren. Our Holiday Season was filled with Family and Friends, the season couldn't be any better than that. Dana and I along with Sage and Jer look forward to the 31st when we head out for Hawaii. New Year's in Hawaii. Aloha and Happy New Year!
Christmas Day!
After the presents!
Before we start opening presents!
Ella, Hammie, Sagey and Jake
We love our Jake and Ella!We spent Christmas Day at Amber's. It was so much fun to be with Jake and Ella on Christmas to see their faces as they opened treasures from Santa. Amber made an awesome breakfast and we really had a great time just being together. Being with the kids is the best Christmas present for me.

Love My Disneyland Pass!

Love, Love my Disneyland pass! We made a day of it last week and had so much fun. Am's and Jake met up with us and Little Ella stayed home with Ben. We took Jake on the Matterhorn for the 1st time. Crazy, I know, but he's ready for the bigger rides. He didn't make the height minimum for Indiana Jones so he and I sat that one out. I seriously love that Kid--when we're together I see the world in such a happier light!! At closing, they light the castle and it looks like sparkling snow and icicles and the giant Christmas Tree changes from color lights to white lights--it is just beautiful. Last but not least snow begins to fall--just so awesome. It was a really fun day--I think I'd like to go again soon, like maybe next week!! Crazy, I know!Thanksgiving Week!

Soo here's the low down--Thanksgiving week is a really big deal around the Baltzer Pad. Ella is our Birthday Girl on the 24th. Dana is the Birthday Boy on the 25th. Amber and Ben are the anniversary (3rd) couple on the 26th. And taa-daa Turkey Day was the 27th. So we celebrated pretty much the whole week. Amber and Family were with us from Tuesday through Sunday, so I really got lots of grand-kiddie time and loved every minute of it. I really wish I had more pictures of Thanksgiving--Oh well!

Party! Park! Pinata!

On Saturday Jake had his Birthday Party at the Park with some of his friends from school and church. The park is a great place to have a children's party--the playground and wide open spaces for the kids to run and have fun! Jake's party theme was Army Camouflage and he dressed the part. The kids had pizza, sodas, cupcakes and a pinata loaded with candy. Happy Birthday Jake!

Trick or Treat!

On friday Sage and I went to Amber's to go Trick or Treating with Jake and Ella. Jake was an awesome Bat Ranger and Ella was an adorable Bumble Bee. We had so much fun, and Ella was hilarious she had to walk the whole time, forget the stroller. By the time she would get to the door Jake was on his way to the next house--just too cute.
Disneyland!!!
On tuesday we went to "the happiest place on earth" Disneyland! I've wanted to go and see the Halloween decorations for the longest time and we finally did it. If you haven't seen Disneyland decorated for Halloween you should, it is adorable and we had a really fun time. I honestly can't wait to go again.
