Addison's 2nd Birthday

In May we celebrated Addie's 2nd birthday with a two day trip to Disneyland. One of the highlights was taking the kids to the Character Breakfast. It was so much fun! The kids loved getting up close to Minnie, Daffy, Chip and Dale, Captain Hook and a few others.

Living the busy life

I haven't posted on my blog since March, good golly the months seem to fly by. In April we celebrated Easter together as a family. Amber and my sweet loves spent a few days with us. We visited Old Town, the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center and had some great Mexican food. While there we did have one minor mishap, Ella was running, tripped, hit her head on the only rock in a huge grassy area, needless to say she had a huge goose egg on her forehead. Poor gir! We also went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny, the girls were so adorable in they're fluffy tutu skirts and Jake was a really good sport about the whole picture with the Buuny thing--I believe I heard him tell his Mom this is the last time I'm getting my picture taken with the Easter Bunny, I guess when you're a 9 year old boy a visit to the Easter Bunny is pretty lame. We had a lovely Easter Day with dinner and egg hunt at Sage's and we celebrated Sage's birthday, when we get together we really fill up a few days with lots of family activities.

Jer's B-Day

On Sunday we celebrated with family dinner, silly kids and candles on the Birthday Cake!!

We celebrated Jer's Birthday a few weeks ago and while I'm in blogging mode thought I would share some of the fun. On Saturday evening we surprised Jer with a fun dinner at Mike's Bar B Que with a few family, friends and lots of kiddos!

Long Time No Blog!!!

Wowzer make that a double wowzer, I have not blogged in forever...I have not fallen off the the face of the earth...I'm really just pre occupied with my iPad, which by the way I adore. I must also admit that I'm hooked on Pinterest and spend way to much time browsing there. I can't blog from my iPad and it's always so cold to sit at the computer and blog so I've just slacked ALOT! This past Sunday Dana and I met up with some friends in La Mesa for lunch--we went to a really great Mex-Deli, tortas are their specialty, everything we ordered was fantastic, ate like a pig and came home still stuffed after walking around the Street Fair that was going on in La Mesa. It was a really cool Street Fair because all of the sellers had used stuff to sell. Everything from vintage clothing to antiques it was amazing! I scored a great find, a Royal Winton Chintzware sugar and creamer. A few years back I was an avid collector of Chintz (yep, when it was expensive and hard to find good pieces) I sorta stopped collecting, but I always keep my eyes open for it just in case--well just in case happened on Sunday!! Asking price was $85.00 and I got it for $75.00, it's in beautiful condition and I would say the price a few years ago was probably close to $200.00. I love it and have it out with my Easter/Spring decorations!!

I know, I know, I was just in Maui with the family minus Dana in July--you can just never get enough Maui or at least I can't....if we could all be there together I would never come home--that is how much I love it there. Dana, myself and Jake made a quick 10 day trip to Maui after Christmas, it was vacation time for Dana and his 1st choice for vacation time is always Maui. Dana enjoys being there for the 1st golf tournament of the season and I just enjoy being there for any reason. We made friends with Holly, Dave and Melyssa on our summer visit there and Jake had such a great time with Melyssa we decided to take him with us. We had a really great time relaxing and ringing in the New Year in Maui. Needless to say I can't wait to go back, I miss the pristine beauty of Maui and the wonderful friends we have there...Aloha!

In years past our tradition for Christmas morning was always to go to Amber for gifts and breakfast. This year the girls decided to each have Chistmas morning in their own homes and then come to our house for Christmas afternoon and Christmas dinner--and it worked out well.
