Easter Eggs!

I've been sooo bad at blogging lately~~mostly because I've been busy with Easter break and helping plan Sage's Baby Shower have kept me from adding some updates!! I still haven't posted any pictures of my Spring decorating~~I haven't forgotten and I will post them soon, as I will be rearranging everything for the shower. The biggest project of late has been to finish the re-landscaping in the backyard~~it's almost complete and we will really be able to enjoy it this summer! Here is a little of our Easter and Spring Break.....

Who's Counting?

We are! Thirty-two weeks and counting. This does not look like eight months but it is, needless to say Sage thinks she is G-enormous!

Feels Like Spring!

How beautiful has the weather been these last few days? Sunny and warm it feels awesome and energizing! I've been decorating the house for Easter and Sage's family and friends Baby Shower in April! Planting flowers and sprucing up the yard! I'll post a few pictures soon of all my Spring projects.

It seems like whenever Jake comes to visit he looses a tooth! Well last weekend the same thing happened only this time he lost two teeth, one for each day he was here!

Shower!

Last saturday the wonderful ladies that Sage works with threw her a Baby Shower. It was a cupcake theme all done up in pinks and turquiose with yummy food, a candy bar and lovely gifts! Nicky came in from out of town to surprise Sage and surprised she was tears and all! Amber, Jake and Ella were there also. Thanks to Andee, Marissa and all of the wonderful people Sage works with for making her shower so much fun!

Wish List

If I ever actually made a wish list it would probably be endless, or maybe I should call it my daydream list. You know when you let the mind wonder you dream of millions of things you think you'd love to have but then reality sets in and oh well!! However, today I decided that there are two things I would really like and they are on the wish list--#1 a new camera and #2 a laptop preferably a MAC. Hmm! Soon I hope

I'm Home!!

Sad to say but I'm home from vacation. We had a great time, who doesn't in Maui? This time of year the weather is a little cooler and a little less humid and maybe a little more rain but beautiful none the less. Whale watching is just so awesome, they are everywhere in Maui right now. I wish I could take way better pictures but you really need to see it in person, it's so amazing. I'm already planning my next trip over hopefully it will be the whole family, I really want to take Jake, Ella and the new baby girl on our next trip. Now that I'm home time to get taxes ready to go, and help with the planning of Sage's Baby Shower. May seems way off but I have a feeling it will be here before I know it. Crazy to think that at the end of summer I will only be working 2 days a week or maybe not at all!! Just having fun with my adorable grandkiddies!!

Happy Super Bowl to all you die hard fans! I'm tuning in at the 2 minute warning--just in time to see the win! I'm heading to the beach, a little sun and some whale watching. The whales are amazing, wish I could get a good picture of one breeching--I'll try!!

Belated Happy New Year!!

Well the New Year is off with a bang, it's all ready the 11th and I haven't blogged in weeks! Our family Holidays were filled with lots of family, good food, and the usual hustle and bustle the Christmas season brings. I personally love it all! A few highlights include Jake spending Christmas week with us and Christmas morning, all of us together at Amber's. The kiddos opening gifts is always an experience, after a few gifts they go into overload!! Watch out you never know what gift is going where with all of the excitement. Christmas night when Dana and I returned to the empty nest (way too quiet) we were talking and laughing about the day and thinking how exciting next year will be when we will have another granddaughter in the mix. Holy cows she may be crawling by then!! We are so looking forward to all the fun and excitement the New Year will be bringing our way. Wishing you all a Happy, Joyous and Prosperous New Year!

Christmas Decorations!

I decided to change up the christmas decorations a bit this year. I've always been a real red, white and green holiday themed decorator with lots of red and white peppermint candy. I have had this nativity for years and it is usually on white batting with white twinkle lights under it. New look for this year purple and gold satin, very regal. The mantle in the past has been red and more red and lots of candles. New look red and gold with poinsettas. Tablescape on the credenza not a new look but I added thes adorable ice skates, I love my christmas villages.

Love the Holidays!

I love the holidays, the decorating, the shopping, the wrapping, the christmas music on the radio, old christmas movies, the smell of christmas trees, scented candles and yummy smells from the kitchen. I love finding the perfect gift for my special someones. I love christmas parties and family get togethers. I love sending and receiving christmas cards. I love that at christmas I always reflect back on old family traditions, some from my family and some from Dana's. I love the memories of happy christmas's past. I love the holidays with my children and love seeing christmas morning through my precious grandchildren's eyes. Yep! I love every minute of the holiday season.

Jake's Birthday!

Jake celebrated his 7th Birthday on Nov. 7. I spent the weekend with them and we had lots of fun! I cannot believe this guy is 7 already--where has the time gone? Jake is an all around awesome kid and a great blessing to our family. Happy Birthday to an Awesome Grandson!

Fixed!

My computer glitch is fixed and I'm so happy! Just need my camera and I'm good to go. By the way I have Cox DSL, I called them yesterday about my internet issues, the connected me with Plum Choice a remote computer fix it. They were awesome~~Thanks Cox and Plum Choice!

I'm still here!

I haven't blogged in forever not because I didn't want to but because my nearly new computer has a serious glitch and I left my camera at Amber's. So here's a brief run down of everyday life. 1st I am barely working due to the slow down in the economy. It is more than okay with me as I now have days that I can do what ever in the heck I want to do, or do nothing at all which sometimes can be very fun. I've been to Amber's a few times and to Disneyland. Cleaned out a few things in the house (always a good thing). And this past week I found a really great handyman to do the projects that have been on the To Do List for far too long. I now have a new front door (beautiful) all of the interior door and trim have been painted, new smoke alarm and new thermostat, and all new knobs and hardware on the doors. Everything looks so fresh just love it. This weekend I'm going Trick or Treating with Jake and Ella. The next week Disneyland to celebrate Jake's seventh Birthday! Have I mentioned I adore my kiddies! By the way is everyone loving the fall? I love this time of year and I have so much fun decorating for Halloween, I plan to post some pictures when I resolve the above issues.

Okay, so I admit I'm a fan of Big Brother! Usually after the first show you kinda know if it's an interesting group or not....I wasn't so impressed last night with any of the Housemates but the clicks might make it interesting, we'll see next week! Otherwise it's back to reading and the Home and Gardening channel.
